(Women’s Entrepreneurship, Leadership, and Skills Advancement)
Pakistan, with the female population comprising about 50% of its demographic landscape, stands at a pivotal juncture, where the future is inextricably linked to the empowerment of its half of the population. However, a conspicuous challenge persists – the absence of cohesive policies and efforts to bring women in the financial and progressive fold of society. In response, we present a holistically designed project “Women’s Entrepreneurship, Leadership, and Skills Advancement (WELSA)” to unlock the transformative potential of women with different capacities in their own unique contexts.
Initially launched in Azad Jamu & Kashmir, we are excited to introduce “Women’s Entrepreneurship, Leadership, and Skills Advancement (WELSA)” project in Khyber Pakhtunkhaw at Aalamabad- (the second project of Rashid Memorial Welfare Organization) in Nabi Village, KPK, Pakistan.
The Problem
- The absence of cohesive policies and concerted efforts hamper the empowerment of half the population.
- High levels of unemployment among women due to lack of entrepreneurial, leadership and skills training programs catering to women’s unique needs.
- Lack of women’s involvement in financial opportunities due to inadequate training on finances and financial management.
- Inadequate support structures for women in entrepreneurial endeavours.
The Solution
Sukh Saankjh Foundation proposes WELSA Project as a holistic solution to this problem. This solution involves comprehensive training programs focused on entrepreneurship, skills, and leadership to empower women. There would be specific training sessions on how to enhance financial literacy and management.
Furthermore, we envision the establishment of model support structures “WELSA incubators” to house such training programs. The “WELSA incubators” will serve as replicable models nationwide, effectively addressing similar challenges and contributing to the broader goal of sustainable economic empowerment.
Our Mission
We dedicate ourselves to build and sustain a peaceful, progressive, inclusive, and conscientious society by empowering individuals through education, values, and skills, upholding the principles of responsibility, equity and humanity.
