Digital skills that open doors

ICT Training at WELSA Center gives women the confidence to use technology for learning, earning and everyday life.

Overview

Technology, made approachable

Many women in rural and underserved communities have never been shown how to use a computer or make the most of a smartphone. ICT Training starts from wherever each woman is, in a supportive, women-only setting.

The aim is practical: to find information, stay safe online, use mobile banking and wallets, and reach customers for the skills and products women already have.

What women learn

From first steps to everyday use

  • Computer basics

Using a computer, typing, files and folders.

  • Smartphone skills

Apps, messaging, photos and video calls.

  • Internet & online safety

Searching well, spotting scams and protecting privacy.

  • Mobile banking & wallets

Sending, receiving and saving money safely.

  • Office tools

    Documents, simple spreadsheets and presentations.

  • Selling online

Showing products on social media and talking to customers.
