My name is Fatima Qazi. Before joining the program I had problems with some members of my khandan (extended family). There was tension, and I rarely spoke or met with them. In the Relationship and Communication session I learned useful techniques, including the pillars of strong relationships and how to build good connections with relatives. I decided to use them in real life.
Recently there was a family function where those relatives were present. I went to greet them myself, said Salam and spoke with them calmly. I also practiced active listening, hearing them patiently without interrupting, to understand their point of view. Our relationship improved because of this. They even visited our home later, and our connection is positive again. This program helped me solve a major problem in my life and taught me how to maintain healthy relationships within my khandan. I am very thankful for this positive change.
